First International Suiseki Exhibition and Competition in Brazil

The 15th FELAB International Congress 2026 will also host a historic milestone: the First International Suiseki Exhibition and Competition in Brazil. In an exclusive exhibition area, visitors will be able to admire the fascinating art of Suiseki, which has enchanted for over 2,000 years with its simplicity and depth.

What is Suiseki?

Suiseki, which means “viewing stones” in Japanese, is the art of appreciating natural stones, especially those that evoke images such as mountains, waterfalls, or figures of people and animals. This ancient art celebrates profound concepts such as stability, longevity, and immortality, inviting its admirers to a more intimate connection with nature.

Although it is an independent art, Suiseki is considered the sister of Bonsai Art, sharing values and the search for harmony between simplicity and natural beauty.
