Anupama Vedachala She is an internationally recognized bonsai artist. Originally from Bengaluru, India, she has dedicated over 30 years to the art. Founder of the studio VedaavanA leading figure in the training and dissemination of bonsai in his country, Anupama has built a career marked by a combination of technique, artistic sensitivity, and a commitment to education.

Recognized as a pioneering educator, she conducts workshops, seminars, and exhibitions in different parts of the world, having been invited as a speaker and demonstrator at highly relevant events such as the Lucknow Bonsai Summit, Black Scissors Live, and the WORBAC convention in China. In Brazil, she participated as a guest in a Bonsai Master Class, strengthening her international exchange.

In addition to his artistic work, Anupama teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses at GKVK Agricultural University and leads professional training programs. He is a regular presence at bonsai clubs and associations throughout India, conducting demonstrations and workshops, and collaborates with international masters such as Nacho Marin and Pedro Morales.

Among her major accolades are the 1st Prize in the Photography Panel (South India) for Ficus virens at the National Bonsai Convention, the 2nd Prize in the Penjing category, and leading the winning team for the BCI Best Exhibition award at the Mysore International Convention. She was also the curator and lead designer of the Lalbagh Bonsai Garden in Bengaluru, which brings together more than 100 trees aged between 80 and 100 years, and played a key role in creating India's first public bonsai garden.

In a traditionally male-dominated world, Anupama stands out as one of the few women to achieve international recognition in bonsai, becoming a benchmark for both her technical excellence and her ability to inspire new generations. Her professional work, combined with the dissemination of the art through lectures, podcasts, and educational projects, reaffirms her commitment to the development and appreciation of bonsai in India and on the global stage.
